Julie Faryniuk

Registered Psychologist

Julie is excited when a client takes the courageous step to explore therapy! Julie (she/her) is a Registered Psychologist. She has over 10 years of experience working in the field of mental health including working in school environments for students with complex needs, drop-in centers, and private practice.

Julie values collaboration between herself and her clients to create clear goals to support their therapy journey, with the awareness that adjusting direction to meet the client’s current needs is also sometimes helpful. Julie strives to create a safe space which allows for authenticity, inclusiveness, and learning so that clients can leave each session with new skills, insights, and perspectives. While therapy can be quite challenging, laughter is common in Julie’s sessions.

Julie uses a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to ensure that treatment is tailored to unique needs and strengths of each client. These approaches include EDMR, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Julie has experience working with a wide array of concerns including perfectionism, life transitions, stress and burnout, relationships, domestic abuse, trauma, challenges with self-worth, anxiety, depression, and coping skills.

In her free time, you can find Julie snowboarding, at the sewing machine, going to yoga, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, or with her dog Frank.
